Boy Scouts of America

I spent a good portion of time, roughly 12 years in Boy Scouts working up from Tiger rank in Cub Scouts all the way to the rank of Eagle Scout. I amassed nearly 100 nights of camping experience while on many summer camps, weekend trips, and adventure trips such as hiking and kayaking.

In order to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, there were many requirements to be met which included various leadership positions. Some of these opportunities to grow as a leader include the time which I served as Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader. The first two positions were for my smaller patrol, but the latter two were for the Troop as a whole and gave me authority over meetings which on some instances had well over 50 people in attendance.

While pursuing my rank of Eagle Scout, I was also responsible with planning and executing an Eagle Scout Project. This gave me yet another opportunity to lead and to see a plan carried out from the brainstorming stage all the way to completion.
